No FOV entry in config file.

So i been trying to play this game, but the FOV is killing me.

Went to change it in the config files with the help of a guide, located two different config files, one in the hidden appdata folder, and one in the steam folder, but none of these config files have any entry that seems to have anything to do with FOV.
No r_base_fov, or r_fov, or any other setting that has the word FOV attached to it can be located in either of these config files.

Anyone got a tip for me on how to resolve this issue?

The appdata folder will have the fov directive, did you start the game first? If not, try that. Ignore the config files in the game directory.

All else fails you can do a hard reset on config file which is reset the game completely: delete all config files, both in game and appdata. Then verify game cache, start the game, close it, then edit the appdata config: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Metro_2033_Redux#Field_of_view_.28FOV.29

After you verify integrity of all game tiles, open and run the game and do a quick save, then turn off the game and open the first config file noted below.

There are two game configuration file locations for this game.

#1 - THIS USER CONFIG FILE CONTAINS THE FOV ATTRIBUTE ENTRY: "r_base_fov 60"
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033\110000103c8cf5a

#2 - THIS USER CONFIG FILE LOCATION BELOW DOES NOT CONTAIN THE FOV ATTRIBUTE ENTRY: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Metro 2033 Redux
