The one you got is the canon one.

Alright thank you

The 'golden' ending's kinda neat. Well worth checking out, over on YouTube if nothing else if you're not into replays.

Still, yeah, the one you got is the canon one that Last Light and Exodus follow up on.
Which is clearly not logical, for me, knowing that as the adventure progresses and thanks to Khan, we know that we must not do what he did.

I speak in the sense of the story because it was necessary to follow the history of the books to continue release games on the books

Here is my opinion. I read every book from trilogy (2034 is the worst, tbh) and I can say that games and books are two, other things. Well, first game is very based on book, but the rest - it's fiction. 2034 isn't connected to Last Light (well, the end of 2033 is connected (book and game)). In 2034, you got other characters, place, story and plot twist. And 2035 and Exodus - ech. In 2035, Artyom goes on east with Anna, but first - only with her, second - in a car and not a train, and before that, most time we spent in Metro. And endings?... Better ones are... Well, better, but not canon. Well, first game has do or not - in canon it's the "not". In Last Light or Exodus... They're not connected to each other. In Last Light, we die or not, but Miller lost legs. And in Exodus? Miller has both legs. I guess, that better ones are more logical are better and for games, and for books.

Miller loses his legs well in Last Light and they are replaced by robotic prosthesis in Exodus

And how he should have them?

He builds a lot of weapons in the metro, so a prosthesis can be done too, it's not impossible.

yes, but then - how did he start running? and also - why we never saw them?

Why couldn't he run with it? It looks sophisticated so it is possible. And frankly, we don't care to see Melnik have her legs transplanted. For me, I found it logical given his rank, he deserved it

I could be wrong but I think they made the bad ending for 2033 canon because most players got that ending.

To get the good ending you had to go out of your way most the time to earn karma points by exploring and hearing a lot of extra dialog. They made it too inconspicuous.

In Last Light they made it a little more obvious when you can earn good karma points, so it is easier to get the good ending in that game and even easier getting it in Exodus

I don't know if he launches missiles in book since I haven't read them but since it's an important action, I imagine so, the bad ending is probably related to the book

After yes, it's true that we don't think that the game has an alternate ending. Now, if we follow KHAN's dialogues and understand the visions of Dark Ones, we imagine that there is one. Either we listen to The Hunter and Melnik or we trust KHAN's faith

He does.

The bad ending is the canonical ending. That's the ending you get when you kill civilians, prisoners, surrendering soldiers, etc. That's where the missiles get launched at the end.

The good ending is the one where they don't nuke the Dark Ones. You get that by listening to the conversations, and not killing people (and critters) that are especially vulnerable. It does seem a little ironic that the good ending is where you listen to soldiers talk about how much they miss their homes and families, just before you slit their throats....
