Library entrance?

I am now at the library front door but nothing happens. The compass shows me the way to a truck, 20m from the main door away, which has some broken and open vaults. I opened one vault with a key I found but thats it. no monsters, no other entrance in sight, and library main door doesnt open.....

you need to wait for home dude to show up which they'll run over to that spot to "hold the line" as they say!
Edit: also have fun with the Librarians I'm still needing to work up the courage to even get back into that damn level! those things creep me the hell out.

I am running now for one hour (!) infront the library door but no one shows up....

it takes a bit you're suppose to be getting attacked first which takes a bit of time

I was attacked, then i died, then i respawned around the corner of the library. as i respawned no enemys where there only the big dragon was in the air and flew away. thats it. totaly no one there. so i ran around the corner, left to the front door and waited.... waited... nothing.
I also ran around, nothing.

Run to the truck check for supplys you should get attacked by 4 beasts fend them off kill them then you should get a lot more and your commrads will eventually turn up and then head towards Library

If this issue still persists then restart the chapter, it's the only way of getting around the glitchs

how can i restart the chapter without lossing all my stuff?

Go to main menu, select chapters, select Library. The chapter will start with all the inventory u had when the Polis chapter ended.

Thanks, I tried this but when I start from another chapter, the game crashes and closes.

Right click on the game in your steam library goto Properties, Local files Tab and Verifiy Integrity of game cach this will check for any missing or corrupt files and replace them.

The crashing happens to me too. Try starting the game from the chapter selection again. If it happens again delete(or move away) the auto save file from documents folder. If it asks to start in safe mode press no.
