Which game is which?
I just bought Metro Last Light Redux. Aafter finishing it, I was told that I should play Metro 2033. I thought when I purchased Last Light Redux, it was a conglomeration of both games, apparently that is not the case. The only way to buy 2033 now is the 2033 Redux bundle, is this truely its own game or the 1st and 2nd combined? I'm trying to avoid paying for a game I already have. If you have any clarification on this, please help me out. Thanks.

Metro 2033 redux is the first part, while metro last light redux is the second part of metro 2033 redux.
I hope I have clarified your doubt.

You can buy both games separetly, you dont have to buy them together

They are two separate games, Metro 2033 Redux is the first in the series and Last Light Redux is the sequel/continuation of 2033.

Its prefered to play 2033 first because LL takes place directly after it.

Yeah, I had thought LL was a combo of both of them. I guess i'll need to get 2033 now. thanks!

^ They pretty much covered it! Basically, 2033 is the first game (and based on the book Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky). --- Metro: Last Light is based in the year 2034, and is kind of a mashup of the novel 2033 and SOME elements of Metro 2034. (But the novel was EXCELLENT!). --- The last of the books has some references in the game(s)... but I believe they were saving that for the upcoming METRO: EXODUS.

Long story short: Metro 2033 is the first, Last Light is the second, and Exodus will be the third/final of the trilogy.

Also - the novels are boss. Js.
