Hey thnx, the steam cloud is now successfully syncing, but in-game there is no chapters showing in chapter select(continue is blackened as well) even though all the chapter's save files are present.
Edit: Started new game, game made a folder with the old name(before renaming) and that folder is not syncing.
Its like game save folder and folder to sync are different.

I will take a look at this issue and see what is going wrong, because I know you maybe can delete the old saves that the cloud uploads.

Right, I have figured it out, the only way to replay the saves that you uploaded to the cloud is to firstly go into the game, start up a game, then once your gone up the ladder a little bit, exit out of the game by completely closing it, then with the cloud saves that has synced to your my docs with your steam 64bit id, copy the saves out of there and paste them into the folder the game creates called something like (110000101f1ffa8), delete what is in the folder before you paste in the saves from the cloud, and then startup the game and you should see all the chapters are now showing. I know it's annoying, but then again it's the only way possible to keep your game progress and plus be able to play your saves. Just hope the developers actually fix this issue.

Hello, i have tried that before, and yes it does return the full chapter save. But the cloud sync doesn't save the current ongoing save. For ex: my previous save was on survival hardcore and that is what sync'd but now when i start survival ranger hardcore, this current one doesn't get uploaded on steam cloud.
Edit: Copied the new save file to folder with 64bit name, started and closed the game and its successfully sync'd.
Thnx for the help!

Afraid it's not working for me. Every time I change the folder name to my steam ID number, the game just ignores the folder I renamed and creates a new one. When I delete the new one, it just makes it again. Rinse and repeat.

I am unable to view my cloud saves at all.

Well this guide was just a fix that I discovered a while back, but things can change due to steam updates etc.

I have an old computer than has a game save up to Polis. The sync issue caused me to start over when I got a new computer. Could I use a flashdrive and copy the game files from my old computer to it, plug the flash drive into my newer computer, go to Documents>4Agames>Metro 2033> [Steam ID] and paste the files into there? Would i be able to play on my newer computer my old save files?

The folder will be located in the area in the post above me, I still dont know why the dev havent fixed this issue with steam cloud, but instead I had found a way to have your saves synced to steam cloud.
