Post full game settings.

I just left it all on auto as I never play with the settings. Surly my system is good enough to play with all settings at max though?

You have to deactivate the super sampling option. Set it at off. The super sampling makes the game to render at a higher resolution than the display.

There is no "auto" for the overall graphic settings of this game. Post the settings you're using and we can tell you whether or not they are realistic for your rig.

You system is certainly NOT capable of maxing out each setting for this game.

Dude that is a perfectly acceptable framerate for a GTX1070 running 1920x1080 with SSAA 4x! Maybe you do not understand what SSAA is doing? Considering you're rendering @ 3840x2160 and the adaptive antialiasing is being forced to 2x supersampled, that is a good framerate.

If it's not enough? Just turn SSAA off, or down to 2x (which would be rendered at something like 2880x1620 iirc). When it's turned to off and details set to ultra high, you still get adaptive AA, which is like variable MSAA 2x-4x, and your framerate will never drop below 100 in any scenario.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I had a play around with some settings and now I get 110-140 fps. Still with mostly everything on max.
