Are there spiders in this game?

I was reading up on the new installment and someone mentioned spiders. Are there spiders in this game too, if so, is it just one part of the game, or are they spread throughout?

They are by the final levels of the game. In fact, they were included in this remake.

There's also quite a few webs for ambiance, and believe I recall that at one point there's a scene where Artyom has a normal spider crawling on his gas-mask, twitches in surprise, and then brushes it off in annoyance.

Can't recall if that happens in 2033, or Last Light, though.

There are spider webs all over the game that you have to burn. The spiders themselves can't do anything to you.

Yes there are spiders.

They're not realistic looking spiders though. I'm afraid of spiders and Metro's critters didn't bother me much like the ones from Resident Evil 1 remake or Witcher 3 did.
