Low FPS Recently?
Bought this game on sale awhile ago and I could of sworn I got better frames when I first had the game then I do now. Haven't played it in a couple of months so I decided to finish it. I get in the mid 40s fps now is that normal for this game? I am running on max settings but I have a i7 4790k 16 GB Ram and a GTX 1070 G1 Gaming Edition from Gigabyte so idk what is going on. Any help would be great thanks.

the AA system is an absolutely joke
keep at X2 max
as for graphics i'ed recommend put it on high instead very high (very minor difference in-graphics and it interduces motion blur regardless of motion blur setting, not to mention it cuts down the FPS by 20%)

i too use a GTX 980TI and i use everything on high with X2 AA and V-sync off
60 FPS solid, never dropped a single frame (card is at 80% fanspeed and overclocked)

The pascal cards don't like the SSAA filtering method this game and a few others use. You can use DSR to increase the resolution, but that uses a blurring filter that I wouldn't use about 28%.

Thank you will try this.

So many people keep talking ♥♥♥♥ without actually knowing what type of AA the game uses.
It uses SSAA, SS meaning Supersampling, its the most demanding but also the best looking type of AA
When using 1920x1080 then
SSAA off - renders the game at 1920x1080
SSAA 0.5x renders the game at 1366x768
SSAA 2x renders the game at 2715x1527
SSAA 3x renders the game at 3325x1871
SSAA 4x renders the game at 3840x2160 aka 4K

Use vsync, disable hyperthreading, unpark your cores.

So can anyone tell me what Auto AA does?
Jig McGalliger Feb 3, 2017 @ 4:35pm
Auto will almost always set it to 0.5, dont use it.

All you need to do is to put SSAA to 2X and the game will run a million times better. No need to lower any other settings. This game is not demanding at all otherwise.
