Xbox 360 controller not supported

F1 2015 threw this at me today. Checked the Steam page and it says full controller support. Is this bug masters at work?

full controller support doesn't mean that it works with certain models.

but this one should and does work, actually.

i get this and both with 360 controller and steam controller and i cant even get off the line as its as if my breaks are always on. Thinking of refunding now as ive tried everything and still cant play other than with keyboard ugh.

I play with wheel normally but just to check i tried to play with xbox 360 controller and it works nicely (i was bad in controlling car though since not used to it).

I've used and still using X360 & X1 USB controllers and both still work fine for me.

I have the exact same problem with both steam controller and Logitech F510 gamepad.

We're 2016 now, any idea anyone?

I figured it out. I need to unplug my controller and start F1 2015. A screen will appear with the 2015-2014 season choice. Once that screen disappears i just plug in my controller again and it will work just fine. I need to do this everytime i want to play.

It's not really a solution but it works great for me. Try it.

i have this problem but i play with a steam link, can anyone suggest a workaround? i am unable to make a custom controller configuration, the menu acts like I'm pressing B even though I'm pressing X.

does somebody know if they will create another patch due to the xbox controller problems, after the update to windows 10?
normally playing with an xbox one controller should be no problem, but i heard of a lot of players that after the update to windows 10 something doesnt work anymore.

get a cheap used wheel. believe me it is 110% better and the feeling is realy intense. u get a driving force gt for a few bucks in the bay. bought mine for 80€. thats 1/4 of a new and it works like a charm.

blast from the future. So the issue was not solved. I can play wih original xbox 360 controller, but can't play using xbox series controller.
Custom configuration helped alot, but I cant fix x+b pressed instead of x.
To be honest I like this game much, and it work great on legion go.
