Front Mission Evolved was the first game I every bought on Steam...and it was such garbage. They can skip that remake.
Will be buying all 3 of them and hopefully 100%ing them all.
You won't get your "Mankind never learns."
...in this soft, rounded, bubbly, safe era...
He's probably not wrong though.
Also confused. You can name your wanzers in this one.
for FM3 I would like more enemies per map and a larger squad size. With the 4 man squad size I usually end up benching half my squad permanently aside from the few battles you are forced to split squads...
Still, they are nearly homophones so it's not all bad.
Bad would be renaming the Zenith to Bob or something.
Yes exploiting that nostalgia of...
*checks notes*
The first Front Mission game, which wasn't available ever until a DS port that was heavily censored in the mid 2000's. Unless you used the fan translation for the original SNES game which was infamously rife with translation errors.
Or the "nostalgia" of the second game which wasn't available at all until now. The translation for it was never finished so basically this is almost the first time anyone in the West without Japanese language skills is actually getting the story. Which is astonishing when you consider how FM2 is only maybe a hair below FM1 in terms of the storyline importance (especially how much its referenced in FM3.)
As for the rest of the thread, FM3 remake would only be worth it imo if they actually "fix" the weirdness that is FM3. Its a fine game as is, but with context of 1 and 2 it lacks an astonishing amount of features. Especially that handicapped 4-man squad size. The battle animations and graphics overall were worse in the original PSX version compared to 2 as well (something heavily noted by Japanese critics at the time). Which I guess I get considering the absolutely mind-boggling amount of content FM3 has. I think its longer mission-wise than FM1 + 2 combined. Not to mention the changed depending on the opening route choice you take.
