Building Blocks after Blessed Land

I finally tried the modern setting after I got Blessed Land, and I can't seem to delete building. Is there a way around? Or will I never be able to achieve Building Blocks?

there should be a trash can, right of the building and if its greyed out you can use the arrow to expand it and see whats limiting it

Not there. Not at all. Tried toggling the menu, still nothing. Might need Dev to take note.

there is no way to delete buildings after blessed land activates, because its no longer a reason to, you can turn OFF buildings that consume resources, which has the same effect as far as consumption is concerned, but you can't sell em.

There is a way to delete furniture still, it's in the hint for this Storyline in Classic Mode. You can just release a Familiar or destroy a Spellcrafting Vat from their respective screens and it should count as disposing of furniture.
