noob questions

hello folks enjoying the game but i am a bit stuck just want to be sure i am not missing something obvious

1- im at the Head Instructor, my study levels are all around 10-12 is this enough to beat her?

2- my max essence is capped at like 6k or so so i cant increase that, and im stuck, i am guessing i need to beat Head Instructor to progress? or did i do something and ♥♥♥♥ myself up here?

Yeah, you need to beat her. Level 10 unlocks some useful potions with +damage and + defense and +hp regen. You should also have healing potion unlocked and can farm enough resources for 2 of them. Use some combination of those. Craft some useful equipment (I used +mana equipment, Rod, Wizard's Robe, Tear of Mana). Set some useful spells like Strength and Stoneskin for autocast and use two skills to attack her. This should let you defeat her, she isn't much harder than some bosses from training towers.

auto cast as in put the wizards on it and go into the fight yeah? will give it a try cheers :D

Yeah, use wizards to cast spells for you. But compare your mana income with estimated cost per second that is displayed on Wizards page and on each skill after you assign them. You don't want your income to be negative or even close to the amount they spend. So make sure to build more mana sprouts.

roger, just to make sure, am i meant to beat the instructor on first run or am i meant to restart to beat her?

I did notice the retirement screen mentioned restarting the first time around like a 2.5x xp gain? It honestly doesnt matter but if the recommendation is to do that and you havn't then I'd assume beating the teacher is on the recommended path even if it takes a minute? But idk

i had to restart to beat her took a few attempts and tweaking with the wizard placements, thanks. one more question if i may. is there any point to having more than one market stall? I can't seem to find any bonuses on having multiples when I hover or build more, is it a tooltip glitch or is that it? there is no actual bonus to having multiples of it

Each one sells 1 item. If you want to sell 2 items at the same time, buy two of them. If you can sell more, buy more.

I havnt tested it but I assume it is so you can sell more items at once, each market sells 1 from what it says
