You can combine a stun with Paralysis to have the cast take so long the stun immunity will have worn off before he can cast it so you can stun him again (this will require a stun rune from studying Poison), will buy you a good 20-30 extra seconds. aside from that all I can suggest is upgrading your gear or retiring to get storyline benefits that will help deal enough damage to finish him off.
Per another thread I just responded to, having 4k-4.5k health along with judicious use of Soak and occasional status immunity for absolute worked well for me. having all classes over level 40 for the rank boost was almost certainly helpful. I don't think I had Life 41 yet for major heal, but I suspect that would have been a great boon. Also had water as a primary and was able to use death spell absorb companion for a free ~2.5k hp near end of the fight after getting B2B crit, so that was nice. Go clear Dragon Shrine if you haven't already - it's worth it.
also there's another option for crit, try to get all your storylines done
