this looks like they went for the Genshin crowd and realise no one was interested so they just recently slapped on Rune Factory name.

I want a Rune Factory 6 but this is not it. also I belive the rune factory devs are long gone.

You know that Rune Factory 6 will be a different game than this one right?
This new one is a spin-off where they trying to bring something new for the series.
If you like the RF5 then you probably gonna like this game

Rune Factory has been stale for awhile now, so I'm interested to see where this one differs. So far, it just looks the same, with a different coat of paint.

no it's not stale. my god that's like saying harvest moon needs to change, cod has to drop guns for swords. that is this genre. don't like don't buy. go play genshin it's free and this game won't sell well cause it doesn't know what it wants to be.

It's probably something similar to Oceans/Tides of Destiny.
Some fans of the main series will love it, while others will not.
I'm still looking forward to its release, despite of the uncertainty caused by RF5 and its similarity shared with Oceans/ToD judging from the information available right now.

I played the last few Rune Factory games, and so far this one looks a lot better in my opinion, sequels are allowed to innovate and be different, and if it looks like genshin, I think that's a good thing because that implies this game will be a lot more aesthetically pleasing overall, and it won't be a free-to-play gacha. If it were, I'd definitely be pissed, but I don't think they'd do that with Rune Factory. I could be wrong though because it's happened before. I'm not even a fanboy of the series, by the way, as I was very disappointed with Rune Factory 5, so I'm just really hoping this one will be better.

Actually yes. That being said if they had FLESHED OUT and POLISHED basic aspects of the game then they wouldn't need to re-invent the wheel. All Rune Factory games were kinda simplistic ( basic combat, basic farming, very basic romance / interactions / dialogue... no drama nothing bad can happen always a good ending. ).

Where in the title of this game does it say Rune Factory 6? This isn't Rune Factory 6, it's a spin off to show us the other side of the world that we have heard about in previous games.

How can you plagiarize an art style? Especially from 2 different games? Plagiarizing is an actual copy not very similar.

People want to complain about anything that actually doesn't need to be complained about. But the things that need to be complained about, they never will. Just how it is in every video game community. Or at least not everyone does this but there are people who do

While the art style is a little reminiscent of Genshin this is CLEARLY a spin-off, which allows it to take the very Japanese-y departure from the western fantasy of Rune Factory's usual world. This is not RF6 an RF6 will still be western fantasy, so stop freaking out about that lol.

I honestly love the designs, the male main character is SUPER cool looking, and it's something fresh for the series while still having farming and adventuring which IS Rune Factory. And you'll get to fly on a dragon?? Hello????
