Possibility for support of touchscreen computers and Windows tablets

I love playing tabletop simulator with my friends over the internet. However as of right now, at least for me, it cannot really be utilized to replace a board game in social situations. I think a great way to fix this would be to make the game compatible with devices that are easy to lay on a table and crowd around, more specifically a windows tablet. What I wanted to know is if supporting multitouch windows 8 input is a planned feature, and if we will be seeing it in the near future.

Yes touch support is planned, also we are adding controller support for tomorrows patch.

I'm glad to hear that, and really looking forward to it. Controller support also seems like it'd open up a wealth of ways to play the game with others locally :D

I love to here that there will be touch support i think it would be very cool to have a Tablet laying on the Table and sitting around it.

But if you want to make it realy awesome than try to make a smartphone app so you have a tablet with the gameboard in the in the middle and your cards shown on your smartphone so no other player can see it. that would be realy cool.

That would be pretty great. They did promise an android version.... maybe it'll be a companion app as well? I'm keeping my hopes up!

Was touchscreen support ever released? I'm looking for a tablet I can play this on. What are the requirements/recommendations for a tablet to play Tabletop Simulator?

It will be quite some time before we have touchscreen support. We want to get the PC version completed and out of early access before we work on that. Thanks!

Are you guys planning on adding more traditional pieces IE looking at the risk game modes, a soldier, knight, cannon, something along those lines? We've got no traditional pieces and are stuck using chess pieces :(

I've read that touch screen support has been added. How does one go about setting it up as I can't seem to figure it out. I have a windows Tablet I want to play this on when I load it up though the controls don't seem to convert to touch support, I can't find touch support options anywhere.


Any help? Would like to play some board games with my wife on the big tablet.
