There is no AI in this simulator sorry.
Peace
Forever alone. ;-;
I was referring mainly to some of the default games that we provide like adding a Chess Engine for example. An extension of that would maybe someday allow future workshop scripting capabilities to let workshoppers add their own custom "AI".
I can't promise any of this though. It's just stuff that we've thought about and said it'd be cool if we could do it, but it's just very low priority compared to all the things we're currently doing.
But Table Top Simulator IS the thing for when you are tired to be alone or have a game take in charge every single aspect of the game. So no poker AI, no MMORPG, more table top poker, PnP tabletop RPG for folks who are in your contact list and fun but not in the same country... except all packed in our computer! :D
Sincerely, the product is well described and doesn't sell anything it don't do. So that is why it should be bought and this is why I bought it. You know kinda social, close to normal interraction.
How, you ask?
3 words: Mythic GM Emulator. That book provides a nice chart for being able to simulate an opponent and/or a GM, which in turn should allow pretty much anything turn based to be played solo or without a human GM. It isn't perfect, and requires some effort to wrap your head around it, but when the alternative is not playing at all it's very nice.
You'll have to find it yourself, though; I'm 99% sure you have to pay for it. Totally worth it though as it's quite the versatile little tool.
Anyway, excluding Mythic GM Emulator there are solo games on the workshop that rely on other means of providing an opponent who isn't a human, so the single player tag shouldn't be taken down because there ARE solo games out there. Hell, unless an update changed it I'm pretty sure the base game includes a Solitaire card game, which is ONLY single player, so the tag can stay.
As said, even for non-solo ruled games you can simulate/puppeteer your opponent with techniques like MythicGM instead of just playing against yourself.
