I attached the furnace generator.
But apparently I haven't, despite the fact that it's obviously attached.

Yep, I reported that bug a while ago too. What you have to do to fix is save and exit. Reload the game, load your save, remove from the attached mission and re-attach. Then it will work. I have done that EVERY new game I do after a while for every one of those missions.

Or when he doesn't even drop the filter... and saving and reloading does nothing.

click on another mission then click on crafty buisness again

What do you mean by "remove from the attached mission and re-attach?"

If you tried to attach the block and it fails, it sometimes anchors to the ground and looks like its part of the tech but isnt. So click and drag it away and put it back where he wants.

Just the game save and output log will do thanks :) Did the issue correct itself after reloading?

This problem was fixed for me when I put some wood chunks into it manually. The problem happens in other craft business missions too, but reloading my save fixed that.

Once that bug hits your save it will be there forever. That means every mission after that will require a save and re-load.
