How to transfer Blocks from Tech to Base?
I remember when your got near your base it automatically sucked everything from the pads on your tech onto the the conveyor system on the base. Also the trading station sucked automatically everything up to its max stack size from the pads of your tech.
Now i have to transfer everything by hand wich is very timeconsuming.
Problem is, the receiver just collects everything up until it's maxed out, but does not transfer it to the pads. Neither the geocorp ones nor the GSO ones can hold blocks anymore.

So... how can i transfer all those blocks from the receiver of my tech to the trading station or the receiver of my base?

You currently cannot, the only reason the receiver holds blocks is so that people can still collect blocks before the new scrap magnet is implemented.
A good strategy is to take off the receiver from your tech, causing all the blocks to fall off, and then put it back on when your SCU is done eating them.
From there you can put the blocks back onto the trading station from your inventory.

Thank you for your reply... I now just hook the SCU onto my tech and put it down on the battlefield. Its way faster and i dont have to go back to my base anymore...

Are there any plans for handling this better in the future? Because now i have thousands of blocks in my SCU and i don't feel the need to spend 2 hours on click click click each of them into the ... wait a minute... i just found a post from you (jamie) which is almost one year old:

I would be fine with scrapping all the blocks instead of selling them. But just some small blocks from GSO are scrappable atm. I think the timeline for this (next update or two) has been changed, or was this in the game and got reverted?

It would be nice if the conveyor could transfer ALL blocks and you could add blocks to the filter so you can scrap all the unwanted blocks. Is this somehow possible?

We are planning to allow automated removal of blocks from the SCU at some point - but it's not planned for the first pass of the crafting rework i'm afraid.

We're looking into making every block scrappable as we speak actually :) so hold tight!

With "automated removal" you don't mean they just dissapear after a certain stacksize, right?
It would make sense to be able to connect conveyors onto the SCU and mark certain blocks or whole stacks of blocks for remova in your inventoryl. And then the conveyor automatically starts taking out blocks transporting them for further utilisation.

Does that include the conveyors beeing able to transport blocks again? Because i read that you removed that feature willingly and you had no plans to reenable that.

Blocks won't be able to be carried on conveyors. We want blocks to be the start and beginning of crafting systems. Scrappers will take in blocks and convert them into resources. Fabricators will take in resources and throw blocks out onto the floor (these can then be linked with other blocks like scrap magnets etc).

But if we can scrap the blocks, we also need to have some way to transport them. Best way would be to use the conveous system to cary them around your base into the scrapper. You don't want us to drop them each per hand onto the scrapper, don't you?

The scrapper will be able to pick blocks up off the floor or from nearby scrap magnets.
