Report a translation problem
But I'm afraid that the support will not get in touch until Monday.
There have been a few reports like this previously. See this thread, for example (where a dev suggested a few things that eventually helped): https://forum.terratechgame.com/index.php?threads/0-8-1-crashed-on-game-load.16231/#post-114780
There have been issues with the game getting folder access too. Are you using an administrator account on Windows? (May not matter currently.)
Also, have you any virus or anti-malware software running that you might try temporarily disabling?
Check out their problem solving FAQ too, to be sure (sounds like you've covered a lot of that already) https://www.terratechgame.com/troubleshooting.htm
If none of that helps then you could also make a new thread on the forum about this, to upload your output_log.txt file and maybe a DxDiag.exe output: https://forum.terratechgame.com/index.php?categories/bugs.27/
Good luck.
I'm afraid that I will installed the Unstable version, because if I follow the description on the official site to get to output_log.txt I have to search by:
C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\LocalLow\Payload\TerraTech
And according to the official site I have with it the "TT_Unstable beta branch".
How can I installed the default version?
Both the stable and unstable use that same file directory location for the "output_log.txt" file, now (I believe). So if you've not change to the unstable yourself you'll be on the default, stable version already.
Have you tried the other things I've suggested? (Or will you?)
I have looked again and I'm sure that my antivirus software does not jump in between. As well I am the admin on my laptop.
I saw today that support had responded to me. This could tell me that it is related to a mistake with my audio driver. After deactivating all audio devices in Device Manager, I was able to start the game.
Now I have to wait until the problem is patched.
