Carbite Ore

I couldnt find Carbite Ore for one of Crafty's Missions, so i cheated a little bit, got a GSO scrapper, dropped a booster in it, grabbed the Carbite Ore, and headed back to Crafty with the Carbite Ore.

Sounds about right. Personally I had already found some carbite, but the salt flats were a significant drive away so I just went back to my own stockpile, pulled one out, and handed it over.

I had a hard time finding carbite ore in the previous update. I usually found it by accident, breaking rocks and finding one of the carbite 'resource wells' (or whatever they are called) under one of said broken rocks. Which of course means needing an autominer to get it. I think 90% of my Carbite came from those 'wells', and when I see a lone carbite ore pop up in a collector while out mining for ore, I slam on the brakes and start checking every last broken down rock in the immediate area for signs of those dark purple/black 'pools'.
I have not even found carbite ore in the latest update, but then again, I am still mainly in the grassland area since I am still early in a new game.

Carbite ore is only naturally generated in salt flat rocks, which have purple sparkles around them. They're not too hard to find, once you know what you're looking for.

If you've ever restart the campain, the Crafty Mike mission with the Filter Conveyor spawns a Carbite ore. If you snatch that before it is burnt (and carry it around for an hour or two) you neither need to find Carbite nor scrap anything.

I had not considered using a scrapper to get that ore. I could have sworn you get the "find carbite" mission BEFORE you get the one where the scrapper is introduced but I must be mistaken.

That sounds like an exploit/bug to me..but hey, if it works :)
