How to recharge shields fast?

How to regarche shields fast? They last nothing and recharge stupidly long. You cant even minimize game and watch yt, it just pauses. :/ It recharges minutes. Its absolutely terrible. I am using six solar panels, is there a better way?

Either add more solar panels, or use mobile furnaces to recharge on the go.
Also there is an option to run the game in the background, which can be found in the settings menu.

lol i have about 20 or 30 solar pannels on my tech, and im lategame with a crapton of shields and repair bubbles, and batteries of every kind (except venture), and i still take like 1 min to charge up fully, and it lasts a good amount of battles as well.


also there is 1 other thing that ya might wanna have: wireless chargers. if you like making massive bases, then make a base with a lot of power generators and just stick a lot of wireless chargers on. when ya need to charge, just run around there and wait next to the charger lol. though what i prefer out of all of this is just having a big solar pannel base with wireless chargers on the back so you can charge your main tech and use it to charge little techs you might have as well.

If you've unlocked wireless chargers then make an anchored tech with 4-8 solar panels and the same number of wireless chargers and take a snapshot of it. When you need to charge up just spawn a few copies of your charger tech around the tech you're charging. Also, add more batteries to your main tech and the shields won't run down as fast.
