There are also some blocks which you can scrap for carbite, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
I also just read a guide about putting more than one per seam, but the scrapping tip is actually really good. Thanks :D
Make a tech with 4 autominers in a fan shape (end of one onto the side of the next) and a cab. Then you can use switch-to-tech and the build beam to place it correctly. The autominers which are close enough to the seam will animate, which shows you which way to move the tech to get all 4 active.
If you just want cash, mine Erudite instead. It's more valuable, and you can often find 5 seams close enough together to have a single refine-and-sell base fed by 20 autominers.
If you actually need Carbius bricks for manufacturing, many of the GSO weapons use it, e.g. the STUD laser, 3-pound cannon, and 8-barrel mini-mortar. So you can scrap a load of those (if only there was some way to automate scrapping from your inventory). Or if you have a payload terminal for any of the corporations, you can just sell Erudium and buy Carbius blocks (preferably GeoCorp, as their resource blocks are the largest).
i just thought about trying to cram them, connecting all the autominers with some blocks and slapping a cab on and snapshotting. that could help a lot lol
tho so far i've only been able to cram 2 in there tho.
And thanks for the tips once again.
related to that, i found a forum post on saltflat seeds. plenty of people posted but it was about 1 or 2 years ago apparently. try them
https://forum.terratechgame.com/index.php?threads/salt-flat-seed.4091/
if they dont work, i might dig around for a saltflat as well. i do have a game with a good saltflat positioned next to grasslands, desert and mountains biome which could be handy, and the coords as well since ya kno, im currently in it. i could post that if needed
like, 3000 out or so.
The easy fix is to start a creative game with that seed, fly around in a superfast flyer until you find a salt flats, note the coordinates, and then go there in the camapign.
