Where to find Rodite?

I've been looking for at least half an in-game day for Rodite, and I cannot find any. Where does it most commonly occur?

Also, are there still alloy chunks in this game, or have they been abandoned?

Rodite occurs as seam under mountain biome rocks, look for the teal sparkles
And i'm fairly sure alloy chunks have been completely phased out in favor of components
