Anchoring Techs
I am currently at the salt flats in my world with a mobile selling base tech. I have 2 geocorp anchor blocks on the bottom layer of my tech and it also has multiple solar panels to charge my 10 geocorp batteries and 30 odd gso batteries when needed.

The problem comes when the tech doesn't anchor and hops up into the air all the resources that are loaded on my resoucre collectors fall off and take sometime to be picked up again. This is happening quite a lot even when the tech has its wheels removed to be completly level with the ground.

I dont know if this is a bug but does anyone have some tips to stop this happening

From what I've read, this is caused by your tires being in a spot that they would clip into the terrain (which the game won't allow) so it bounces you.

The suggestion was made to give the tires a no-clip exclusion, and the Devs commented on it, but I didn't follow the conversation beyond that point.

I'm copy/pasting this due to the same thread 5 lines up.

A flat spot.

It happend to me quite often till I realized why. There is a notification that pops of once or twice stating that you need to place your craft in a flat spot before anchoring.

So easiest thing to do, is find a flat spot. Then you can anchor no issue. :)

EDIT::::Try losing one of the anchors? I only have 1 on my tech and no more jumping around. Plus, flat spot.

Even with doing this and being in the flat shale looking environment with no wheels on does not help it just bounces and all rescources jump off the collectors. This is a pain especially cause it can take a good 10 minutes to unload my resources. Most likely due to an inefficent base design

If a base was anchored before build beam and you don't touch the anchors then it certainly should become anchored after you release the build beam, dang it.

Then again the build beam is more a detriment than a help at least for base building.

What I have found to work good is if you raise your tech with the build beam and then hit the anchor button.
It seems to have a better chance of working out of the different things that I have tried.
If you get the anchor right over a high spot on a hill it usually works pretty good as well.
Hope it helps

Have a good one [8D)
