0.7.4. please clarify furnace generator

To me it seems the generator is burning the fuel indescriminately, if no storage device is available it wastes the energy into the void. It's not uncommon for this kind of item, but it's infuriating if a generator keeps eliminating whole stacks of "emergency stockpiles".

maybe the generator could get a discharge only capacitor for the highest calorie fueltype and stop taking in fuel chunks as long as it's not empty? (i.e. if capacitor = 0 burn fuel)

I totally agree with this. I have my furnace just lying around, unconnected to my conveyors, just for that reason. Then when I need it, I have to connect it, then connect my batteries, etc.

It would be quite nice to only burn fuel when needed. As it stands with my new full sorter base I just stick the furnace onto the refined fiberwood chunk storage, and let it burn everything. I'm on the edge of the grasslands biome, so trees are plentiful if I actually need any for manufacturing.
