How to Play Local Multiplayer?

Recently, I've been able to play local multiplayer with my friend using a keyboard and a controller with me being the keyboard and my friend being the controller. However, if we add in more controllers by plugging them via the USB ports on the PC processor, will we be able to have Player 3 and 4?

Also, how can I make it as though keyboard and controller are separate? WASD controls Player 1 while the controller also controls Player 1 as well unless you remap controls for Player 2.

You need to rebind everyone's controls in the game settings to their own player

If you can, can you link me to a guide or something that will help? I can rebind keyboards, but unsure about controllers

Take the keyboard user, rebind it to player 1
Then one after the other, rebind whatever controller to player 2, then the third controller to player 3, etc

You need to do it everytime you close and open the game

Does it matter which controllers they are? Like Player 1 can be a PS3 Controller while Player 2 can be a PS4 controller?

The only things that matter is that keyboard and mouse must be player 1 (unconfirmed tbh) and the controllers you're using must be compatible with the game

I don't know what kind of tool you use, but I use SCP Server, and I can play with ps3 and ps4 controllers at once.

you can, but you have to enable xinput in the controller settings. that worked for me the last time at least
