The elevators malfunctioning is an example of stage escalations (where the stage becomes increasingly more hazardous over time), we're working on other escalations currently and expect to have more playable escalations soon. We plan to experiment with making escalations optional for players that want to have protracted games.

I think I'm missing a couple in that list, I'm sorta rushed since class is starting in a minute :(
As for the colours, I'm assuming you mean how some clothes don't change colour depending on your player colour. This is due to the Yogscast costume pieces again as they aren't colour dependant (so they always stay the same colour).
Been awhile since I've tested that stuff out so I may be off.
