Optimize the game for PC?
It's relatively smooth running on my computer, easy to play, but it tells me to do stuff obviously intended for the controller. I've had to figure out what the controls were PC wise multiple times, and it is quite stressful when I simply want to play a game.

Wrong, consoles WERE planned from the beginning indeed:
- if the game had a moderate-low success they would have kept it for PC-like systems (Windows, Mac and Linux)
- if it had a decent amount of success they would have ported it to consoles too

A console relase was planned since the start but they would have only done it if they thougt the game was doing well, with YouTubers publicizing the game for free and everyone loving it, they basically got that people enjoyed the game much more than what they anticipated and they decided to take on the console market.
If the game, however, only was slightly successful and had a smaller playerbase and much less sales then they would have likely kept it Steam only and it'd have been avaible only for PC, Mac and Linux...

Me and my friend literally had to get a refund because it was causing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ damage to our computers

Fun fact, it doesn't do that, unless you do something stupid like also download a virus or try to run a game made for windows 7 or above on windows 98, etc.

Well we had a hugely hard time closing it because it was centered and we ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up, and in the process, my friend thinks (he's probably wrong) that it installed something malicious. I don't care if we're dumb idiots for thinking so or not, but the game doesn't run properly anyway, so I'm uninstalling it regardless.

It wasnt planned though. It was a stretch goal. They planned to make a pc game and if it was popular enough, consoles would be a bonus. They didn't plan on Gang Beasts becoming a console game, it was an extra goal. They made the game with pc in mind. A pc game was the plan. A console game, just like online, was an extra goal that came to fruition.

That's what I said, it was planned not as a "must-have" but as a "might-do", it was never gonna be a thing for sure but they always said they wanted to make console versions if the game was well-recieved.

With "planned" I mean more like "Console relases were a developement goal since the very start but weren't 100% confirmed in early stages of developement." and not a "Console relases were already confirmed to to arrive since the start of developement."
They PLANNED the console relase(s) but they'd only actually relase them if the game was selling enough, I didn't say they were something they had in mind as a FIXED goal: if they got enough popluarity they would have done it, if they didn't they would have kept the game Steam-only.

Since the game is quite popular and sold well they decided to finally make the big step they always hoped to do and relase it on a console (only PS4 for now).

We're not "arguing", we're merely discussing the game's past developement plan and comparing it to the new ones but there was a simple misconception issue, nobody is fighting here.
