Do I need a controller to play?
I played this in Beta with just my keyboard but now I can't edit/save settings and do other things without a controller it seems. The bottom right says (X)Yes (O) Back, but I can't press either of them. It'd be disappointing if I have to buy a controller just to play the game, so help would be much appreciated.

X and O are the playstation controller prompts. Your jump button should work as the confirm button. I still don't know what the back button is, though

Back button is ESC

But yea, infact the keyboard controlls offer you more functionality than controllers do, like spawning tools, day/night cycles, timescale modifying, and additional debugging things (lots of these features have been taken away and brought back over time though, right now only the spawning tools work and I think the day/night cycle works too).

However controllers are just more convenient to plug in and play, espcially if you're playing local with people

At the end of it though, it's up to you what you wanna use. I personally prefer mouse and keyboard with this game rather than a controller, but I don't mind using a controller. Other people have different opinions and I'm sure you may also.
