So... How do you knock out in this game?
I just got gang beasts today and it is a very awesome game. A lot of the techiniques seem straight forward but... how do you knock someone out..? I have litteraly span in a circle and punched to try and get mommentum and headbutt someone while they charge at me. even to the point where i just spam the hell out of punching and head butting and amazingly somehow get lucky and knock them out on very rare occasions a few hours of playing only scored 2 knock outs on completely blind accident. Meanwhile they give me one punch. and it's an instant knock out 3 times in a row. Even sometimes i have them lifted way over my head and they just throw a punch at top of my head instant knock out in one hit. How the heck are they doing that it's driving me nuts. Heck even half the time i headbutt other people i knock MYSELF out. Anyone have any ideas?

It's actually a pretty complex system when you analyze it

Momentum - The more momentum upon impact, the more HP is taken away. Each player has a set amount of HP

Hitbox - Depending on what part of the body is hit, more or less damage is done. Hitting the head takes away the most HP

Attacks - Not every attack does the same amount of damage. Kicking is the weakest while dropkicking is the strongest, and every other attack falls in between the two

Other notes

The more times you've been previously KO'd in a match, the more time it'll take to get back up

Spamming input buttons on your device will speed up the amount of HP regenerated when you are KO'd, so there is a shortened wait time

You are constantly regenerating HP

Impacts to the map and other objects will lower your HP depending on the major factors

Hope this helps

:)
Actually i've notice holding taunt while punching helps A LOT more. But it leaves me wide open to. but i've knocked out 2 people in one round for once. that's a HUGE improvement so far. Isn't dropkick holding kick for like half a second follow by jump? I kind of do it but it looks like a half assed drop kick instead of a actual one.

Mhmm, I could for sure see why that could help for KOing people. And sorta - Walk in any direction (or sprint, this part isn't even really essential but it can make a ginormous difference), then as you are moving, jump. And immediately once you are off the ground hold down the kick button for like half a second (holding it for too long will result in your player doing a (attempted) backflip). And as for positioning - Have the opponent be in range of the kick when you kick in the air while sprinting for the best effect. Dropkicking is the hardest move to pull off so don't stress if you are having troubles
