You are capable of playing the "Waves Mode" in v0.3.2, you have to defeat hordes of enemies that get bigger and bigger as you defeat them, currently there is only 1 stage (RoofTop) but later it will become a selectable Mode avaible to all stages.
Anyway you CAN play with bots in the other stages too: be sure you have downloaded v0.3.2 and then you should be able to spawn them in the game with the number keys (the ones above the letters, NOT ON THE NUM. PAD!), here is what each key spawns (the object gets spawned at the cursors' position):
1 = attracting force
2 = puching force
3 = small ball
4 = ball
5 = box
6 = dumpster
7 = Boneloaf
8 = standard A.I. enemy
9 = Mini-Boss A.I. enemy
You can also change the game's speed with the following keys (you have to PRESS them to change the speed and not holding them, if you want to make the game super-slow you have to press the button many times as holding it won't work):
+ = speed UP
- = speed DOWN
0 = reset the game's speed (puts it to normal)
The devs said the current A.I.s are still really dumb and undeveloped, they said the final version of the Artificial Intelligence will allow them to be stronger and execute all moves players can execute (so climbing, jumping and the other attacks they currently don't use like kicking or headbutting) and they want to have them do more complicated actions too like teamworking (as they said that they want groups of A.I.s in the Story Mode to cooperate in taking out the playres, with one or two holding a player down while another one beats them up). The story Mode will be inspired by Double Dragon and similar games, have a look at my posts in this thread to know everything the devs shared about the Story Mode and its possible plot:

QUESTION 2:
You can't play Online currently, the devs really want to add it to the game but the huge amount of accurate real-time physic interactions and physic-based objects in the game makes adding Online multiplayer an extremely complicated task, they had it planned since v0.0.0 (that they actually relased, the latest version is v0.3.0) but after developing the game for some time and noticing how much hard it was for them to optimize it and improve the performance they realized that adding Online would require an almost perfect netcode other than making EVEN MORE optimization work and taking away a lot of time, money and other resources. Basically it was planned since the start but after the devs realized how difficult it would be to implement they decided to delay it and they said they'll start working on it only after they'll be really close to the final version and everything will be extremely optimized and less memory-consumpming.
At the worst (Online battles not being added for being too hard to handle) the devs will use Online for letting players share the costumes and stages they created with the editor (as both an in-game character and stage editor are going to be added).
In case you want to know more about Online's implementation in the game have a look at this thread I made:
