4 pack, please!!!
Myself, and a group of friends (enough to buy 2, 4 packs) are very interested in this game. We love the look, and nostalgic feel, reminds me of the days of WWF wrestling.

I know there are other discussions based on asking for 2 or 4 packs, but you know the saying about the squeakiest wheel...

BIG supporter of indie dev's btw! *wink wink*

At the moment there is not a online multiplayer making somewhat pointless but I am sure it will be added once it is released.

The game has local co-op/multiplayer functionality, it's not a single player game, so it makes sense to be able to purchase multiple copies (packs).

I would think, it's a good business incentive to do so. I probably won't buy a single copy, unless it's closer to a $5 price point or in a pack.

I'm not following you on this. So if you buy a 4 pack, one for you and each of your friends. You all have your own copies on your own computers.. playing it single player mode while everybody else on their own computer does the same? Or playing all together on one PC, while the other copies sit around gathering dust? Maybe you just want it discounted?

yeah sounds like he just wants it cheaper

This game has local co-op / local multiplayer functionality, correct? Like I said before, and I'll say it again... it would make sense to be able to purchase it in packs (preferrably 4 packs).

I'm positive the discussion heading has to do with the game being available in packs. Anything else I said was second on "the list"... to those being "anal", feel free to go away, or stick to the topic and actually ADD to the DEVELOPMENT of this game with feedback, not hinder it.

Nobody is being anal. You're not making sense. Just saying something that you want "makes sense" doesn't make it so. You're suggesting that because it's multiplayer, it should be sold in packs. There's no logic in there. Should Monopoly be sold in 4 packs? What you're requesting doesn't ADD to the DEVELOPMENT. What you're requesting benefits what you want specifically. Don't throw a temper tantrum because people don't agree with you. Nobody is diverging from your discussion topic. We're just not telling you what you want to read.

So what you're saying is that this game can only be played by multiple people from one PC/system? I've watched Youtube vids of the game being played with controllers (which looked like people were using Xbox or Xbox 360 controllers, which you can do from a PC... ) But as mostly playing PC games, I'm not used to playing from one PC, taking turns. I mean what if you don't have multiple controllers, enough USB ports... this is more of a console functionality. It would be more convenient to play from your own system, separately, like Mount Your Friends for instance.

In all honesty the title being released as a "local multiplayer party game" in the description, is a little deceiving, as I would think it should have the functionality of being played between separate systems for LAN parties. Why would someone buy multiple copies of a single player game? I'm kinda understanding how the game can be played and where you're coming from now, just not used to having a console mentality with a PC is all.

This is coming from someone who does not own a copy, nor has had a chance to play it.

Then you have to buy more controllers and a USB hub. That's how the game is meant to be played. For example, I have 8 controllers and have played this game with 8 players. There are a bunch of local only, multiplayer only games on the PC. If you can't or don't want to get enough contollers to play, the game is probably not for you.

I don't think it's deceiving at all. For games, local multiplayer means on a single computer. That's just what it means. And that's why you make sure of this stuff (like you just did) before purchasing a game.

Ok, your point of view makes more sense now. No, unfortunately there isn't any way to play it on multiple computers. I mean, if you could, it wouldn't make sense not to have it have online multiplayer! (It would just be a step away from coding for lan to TCP/IP (although... lan uses only TCP/IP now (shakes old man cane))) Apparently they will eventually implement online, but who knows how far down the line. I have played it with 5 people and we all had controllers plugged into one PC. It was fannntastic. Amazing fun. 3 of the people texted me the next day saying they couldn't remember the last time they had that much fun.

The general terminology should be more descriptive, by either an icon with one screen and multiple controllers coming from it or going to it and such... I work on/with computers (hardware & software) for a living and this slipped by my radar, though I might need to brush up on my gaming terminology too. I know for instance Mount Your Friends (which is also on Steam) is a multiplayer game, online and lan capable, which I have played with friends, and have gotten carried away way too many times. Though one is multiplayer, and the other local co-op... I'll remember that next time lol.

I would think playing from one system is more of a console concept, as growing up with console gaming before pc gaming. Gang Beats method of playing is more sustainable and affordable (I totally agree with) which now makes sense as to why the game goes for roughly $22. I will still of course purchase a copy, but wonder how many people have made this mistake, I'm sure I'm not the only one. Not a huge deal though.

Thanks again everyone for clarifying this up :)
