Blocking punches...
I was just wondering if devs could finally implement punch blocking. There would be more technical fights with that. Not just a dog fights (swinging around like hell without thinking)

The devs currently added Running, Ground sliding (sliding directly on the ground without the need to jump) and Sitting (yes, sitting...) to the characters' moveset and these moves should get added in the next update(s); they're not already in the game.
I don't know if the devs will add a punch blocking system, there might be a little chance of it getting added but I have no idea (and I still doubt it...). Other moves the devs plan to add (other than the ones I listed before) are:
- Standing headbutt (done by pressing Crouch twice while holding someone with both hands)
- Elbowing (for defending from people who grab you from behind)
- Chocking (nothing has been said about it but I think you'll slowly drain the enemy's healt until they pass out while you are chocking them)
- Attacking with objects (while there will be no swords or guns the devs want to let player grab common objects and use them as weapons, you'll be able to beat people up with bricks, pots, small TVs and other small objects you can find inside the stage. The devs also want to have special interaction with specific objects, for example they want to allow player to quickly open/close door so you can try slamming them in someone's face and knock them out...)

Blocking would be a nice feature, it would probably put that unused Q-E/LT-RT/L2-R2 to good use.

Of course... why block when you can DROPKICK?

Don't forget the dpads on controllers too!

Btw E was the original default for kick, but was since updated in unstable so many people today use E to kick

I think DPad/Arrowkeys would be better for taunts, as they're out-of-the-way and we already have plenty of easier unmapped buttons to use.

True, although the lift button is also meant to be used as a taunt already, although nothing wrong with adding more taunts. But remember that Boneloaf is still planning on adding more mechanics too, like sitting.

Yeah, but I'd still love to see more taunts. Besides, saying Lift counts as a taunt is no different than saying teabagging is a taunt in Halo.

Lol yea

Edit but like the lift button is legit in game a taunt too, as said by the devs and the game

I was wondering whether it was just something I did, until I saw the bots doing it whenever they won the Waves mode. Guess Gang Beasts has its own form of teabagging.

I accomplish something like elbowing by crouching then punching and strafing backwards and to the side the arm is coming from.
