Im using melon loader than cement sadly i can only find like 4 mods that work for it (currently only use knockout bars) it's pretty simple to set up but i can't find more mods
They're the ONLY people modding gang beasts at this point.
LOL, you've confirmed that very few people seem to care for modding Gang Beasts which kinda contradicts previous posts you made about the importance of keeping modders happy.
I said in this post that there's a limited modding ecosystem.
As in, there isn't much going on there; This is the same thing that I indicated here.
It seems that you have misunderstood my month-old post; I was indicating that the modding community - however small, that the developers like to encourage - was an additional reason behind the developers of the game not going out of their way to prevent things like free-cam.
At no point did I make posts about 'the importance of keeping modders happy', I just passed on the knowledge I had about the reasoning behind the developers' (in)actions to the person asking questions.
I don't understand why you're apparently lurking the forum just to pick a fight without adding anything to this post.
To answer your question about lurking, I check the forum to see if there is any updates about a game I used to really enjoy. I only started after the last update made the game experience bad for me, and after I met some people on here I learned some things that concerned me. I have been trying to get those concerns addressed but every-time I bring it up I get rebuffed in some new way. This time appears to be anger and questioning my right to read the forums and bring up questions.
Besides the extremely recent stats mod (which is a mod that has already existed for every other mod loader/manager, so I'm not really counting it) they're all made by UltimateNuke.
Who is a Cement Developer.
And yes, Cement, the main mod manager for the game is broken and has yet to be fixed. Your point?
If you are trying to get your concerns about the game addressed, why are you on the steam forums? This is for player discussion - If you want to be heard by the devs, you should try their support email or contacting them directly on discord.
I believe as long as there is no problem, there is no need for action. That being said, modders do carry a responsibility when it comes to releasing their work, as some can be considered cheats. In my personal opinion, you have to distinguish whether a mod would be beneficial or detrimental to the players' experience if they were to be employed globally.
So if everyone had 360 cam, I would consider that a great thing and I hope it will be implemented one day. For stats mod, there was a reason why the health bars were removed, because people would just go running all the time to fill up their hp. So i consider that a bad thing.
Also since the competition recently came along with 360° camera, the developers should at least by then have considered this being a feature players could desire. But for reasons that must be cosmetic in nature or simply considering not being able to see what you're doing and having to control blindly being a vital feature of the game, they aren't doing it.
Asking for countermeasures to modding will lead to the awful, resource binding cat and mouse game that has been going on for decades in so many other games.
Good things have come out of mods, and the idea is that they will at some point in time make the game a better experience, be it by modded versions or good ideas finding their way back upstream. A simple example, I had written a scoreboard mod which was pretty cool and considered releasing it, but before that happened, IL2CPP came along and broke it. It's also one of the things that should really be in the game to begin with, it's a couple of hours of work for the developers. But maybe having to remember exactly how many stars each player had is considered a vital feature of the game, who knows.
All there really is left is to appeal to those releasing mods to do it responsibly and not ♥♥♥♥ up the fun for everyone else.
