why isn't there a private online setting?
i just blew $20 on this game so me and a friend could play it.
turns out we can't play with just eachother, we can only play public games and customize said public game.
what kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this?

No... If you can customise it, you're playing a private game. You are being shown the OPTION to swap to public.

It's almost as if it literally told you what button puts you in private games or smth.

but theres this other problem regarding ping difference preventing me and my friend from playing so whats up with that?

That's probably just server issues if I remember correctly
