Tips for a noob?
As a noob, all I know how to do is to jump, punch, and wake up from a knockout. What are some tips and control functions you guys could teach me to actually help me win?

  • Spamming any inputs (besides possibly movement directions) while knocked out will make you wake up a little faster.
  • Holding the jump button will allow you to run faster, if held while standing still then the player will sit down.
  • Holding jump and pressing headbutt will do a dive, pressing kick will do a drop kick.
  • Pressing and holding jump+headbutt is a good way to lift your body up when hanging off an edge (leaves you vulnerable because it can be slow).
  • Spamming jump while holding onto a ledge may allow you to spring yourself up really quickly, but it can backfire and simply let you fall to your death. It works less the more you do it without touching the ground because..
  • Touching your feet on the ground refreshes your climbing stamina.
  • Alternating between hands while climbing while holding jump to pull yourself up is a viable climbing method that I believe uses less stamina, can be more reliable but is much slower.
  • Read the tips in-game when the game is loading (if they haven't been removed?) some are actually quite useful IIRC.
That's all I can really think of for now.
- Aim for the head when attacking.
- Don't rely on teammates. If they're in your way, knock them out of your way.
- Hold the kick or headbutt button to pretend you're knocked out. Strike when someone comes near.
- Try to get behind others and knock them out by repeatedly hitting the back of their heads.
- Grab and throw someone out of the map while they're trying to throw someone themselves.
- Keep punching someones head while they're knocked out to prevent them from waking up.
