Couldn't Switch to Requested Monitor Resolution

Switching to resolution 640x480 failed, trying lower one
All resolution switches have failed
Screen: DX11 could not switch resolution (640x480 fs=0 hz=0)

Every time I open Gang Beasts, I get this error message, and then the game closes. This game was working fine two days ago, then this problem showed up. I have tried reinstalling Gang Beasts multiple times, and have even reinstalled steam, yet this problem wont go away, I have updated all of the drivers I could think of. I don't know what to do and google has not been really helpful, as others with this problem never found a real way to fix it.

So far I think it has to do with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M 1 GB GPU.

Any Suggestions?

I FIX IT!
GO TO Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > select the game with which you have problems and go to "properties".
now go to "compatibility" and disable full screen optimization.
