Any good fighting strategies?
Just played a match with some friends after not getting a chance to play with other people for quite a while, and was disappointed to find out that spamming punch and headbutt are even more OP than they used to be. In earlier versions, there were at least a few strategies that could sometimes compete (running in for a OHKO dropkick, dropping to the ground and hoping for a lucky punch to send them flying) but now pretty much everything feels nerfed to hell and back, and the only viable option is to spam weightless punches that hardly feel like they do anything even when they do knock enemies out. Any tips?

or, even, run, then hit headbutt button to do a body slam

Dropkick is still pretty good. But the best strategy seems to be to hold them still with one hand, then lay them with punches and headbutts.

Preferibly after you are behind them so they can't punch you directly, try running and using diving moves or jumping to get behind them.

Still, remember that mashing all the buttons is till quite Op and it'll remain like that until they thweak the moves and add the stamina to fignting next year (which should make your character tired of sttacking non-stop and their moves will get weaker and weaker), so get used to having people mashing buttons be super-hard to deal with.

there aren't exactly any 100% ensured ko moves, so stopping punchspam will worsen combat. They should instead make your punches wilder the faster you punch, making it harder to hit the target. Punching is the main factor of the game, you shouldn't be punished for doing it.

It's not only applied to punching but to all moves, mashing L-Punch, R-Punch, Headbutt and Kick non-stop is what's mostly considered spamming in the game and you currently aren't punished for it.
The way the fatigue system will be calibrated will be that it'll allow using at least one attack (maybe alongside another one less frequently) quite frequently with minimum-to-no punishment, but if you start to mash all the attack buttons your Beast will quickly run out of stamina. That's beacue it'll likely remove X stamina points for each attack, so attacking with all the 4 moves at the same time will eat up stamina 4 times faster than just using one, therefore it'll give focus to using more the grabs to get behind or on top of the opponent and make sure all of your hits land while staying in a safe-ish place that makes them hard to hit you back.

It's not just punching, it's all the 4 standing attacks (again: L-punch, R-Punch, HEadbutt and Kick; jumping and the diving moves will likely be unaffected), the stamina won't punish you for punching, it punishes you for using every blow-kind of attack at the same time, by forcing you to only use 1-2 blow-tipe attacks in combinations instead of making you an untouchable limb-lunging mashine now you'll want to get a good position to land your blows thus promoting the use of grabs and allowing for the great wrestling-esque fights this game shines in.
It's only when you hammer the controller like a madman that stamina will make your Beast short of breath quickly, not when you use your attacks consistently but in a smart way, which is what the stamina will promote: the fighting will be less of random crazy boxing and more of a weird "capoeira + kick-boxing", which sounds great!

that sounds better. If your stamina regenerates at the same rate you punchspam, but not fast enough to recover as you spam everything, it can allow things like short bursts of powerful attacks or measured lighter attacks over time
