Disconnected from the server problem

Just bought this game recently for me and a friend but whenever I try to join a server i always get "disconnected from the server" literally 10 seconds in, though my friend can join servers easily without a problem and I cant. How the heck do I fix this??? This basically makes the whole game unplayed for me since I only want to play the online :/

Hi!

Have you tried connecting to servers in a few different regions?

Is there anything weird in your network setup? Multiple routers or anything similar?

Can you see servers in the server browser?

Yes, I have tried connecting to servers in different regions, nothing weird, 1 router, and yes I can also see servers in the server browser :)

Are you waiting on the 'connecting to server' screen / loading screen for 10 seconds? Or do you manage to make it into a game to be disconnected very quickly?

Have you tried joining your friend through steam? (You can right-click -> Join Game on your friends name, if they're on a server).

I manage to make it into the game, to then just be disconnected as soon as I get to play, I have also tried joining my friend through steam and also tried just finding the same server he is on through server browser as well, both of which I still get disconnected from.

At least you're successfully connecting to the server, that's a good thing.

It could be that your network is being overloaded by a lot of messages arriving all at once. Do you know what your download speed is? After the initial surge, we'll be reducing some servers down to a max of 4 players, which should limit the number of messages being thrown about.

Can you join empty servers with any success?

Download speed is 5 MB/s and no cant join empty servers either :/ not sure If its on my end or the games end.

Are you both being disconnected when the game transitions to a loading screen after the initial match? So say you join a server, and you're spectating the current game. Are you disconnected during that game, during the next loading screen, or after you can see your beast spawned in the world?

For me it sometimes differs, I think Ive had 1 or 2 situations where Ive been disconnected whilst spectating, but most of it is disconnecting after my beast spawns in.

I have the exact same problem. No weird setup, 5MB/s speed, disconnecting and suddenly heavy stuttering more or less shortly after my beast spawns. spectating is completely fluent.
i tried connecting to many different servers from the list and quick play.

I know this is an old post but I keep disconnecting whenever I load into a new map. No weird setup. No idea on download speed, fluctuates between half a meg to 10mb/s every few hours.

That's just one of the current server issues, I've noticed it never really gets past girders or gondola before going back to blimp while disconnecting everyone in the process.

It's rare to see on any other maps than ring. And sometimes girders. Really limiting my map choice on servers, those maps are almost in the middle of the stupid map rotation.
