Only big costume pieces (like tails, capes or hats) actually alter weight. But costumes without them have normal weight.
Also the change is really small and by far the only one who actually makes you heavier is the Hamburger Hat, reason for why everyone hates it.
Isn't costumes considered as outfits though?
And no hitboxes = no weight.
So unless your costume has parts that actually collide with stuff then it won't affect your weight.
However we also gotta remmeber that some costum parts seem to be heavier than others.
Fo example big beards and hair can collide with stuff but their weight is minimum if compared to a burger hat, normal hats have a weight too but they too have such a tiny one that we could say they don't weigh you at all.
So yeah, people with costumes without big parts don't have advantages over people with no costumes at all, they only do if they have big stuff (big hair, capes, tails etc.) with the costume.
Well I can agree that no colliding stuff does not intentionally add weight, but stuff like cat, bear, chicken and crocodille outfits add weight
Bear and Chicken don't have a long tai so they don't add weight.
Also the tails of the Fox, Dino and Cat Kigarumis are incredibly light, they're not so heavy.
Same goes for beards, capes and hats, they's ultra-light. Try pickinging a fallen hat from the ground, it'll be like a feather; you can lauch it MILES away! So the extra weight it adds is munimum and it barely changes anything.
As of now they only real problem is the Burger Hat as it's the only "heavy hat" (still kinda light tho, however its size is what makes it annoying), but at the end it can be dealt with if you try hard enough...
