HOW TO CREATE A PRIVATE SERVER
1. Install the Gang Beasts Server Tool.
# You can find it at: Library -> Tools.

2. Download and install Hamachi.
# Create an account if you don't have one!

3. Open Hamachi and create a new Network.
# Share the ID and the Password with the people you want to play with.
# All of you need to have Hamachi and enter the same Network.

4. Start the Gang Beasts Server Tool.
# Type in "start" and press enter - This will start the server.
# Type in "set public false" and press enter - This will set the server to private.
# Type in "set port XXX" - Replace XXX with the port of the Hamachi Network.

# You can find the port at the top of your Hamachi Network, right after the IP.
# For example: YY.YYY.YY.YYY / PORT.

# Type in "restart" - This will restart your server and save your settings.

5. Start Gang Beasts
# Click on "Online"
# Invite your friends you want to play with. No one will be able to join afterwards!
# Choose your costumes and confirm your choices.
# Click on "Find Game".
# Click on "Direct Connect".

6. Enter IP and Port of the Hamachi Server.
# You can find both at the top of Hamachi, after you connected to the Network.
# For example: IP.IP.IP.IP / PORT
# DON'T USE 127.0.0.1 AS YOUR IP, THAT'S NOT THE RIGHT ONE!
# Click on "Connect".

7. If you did EVERYTHING like i told you to, you should be joining the server!
# If it worked, conrgratulations, you are officially able to read! :steammocking:
# If not, TRY AGAIN!

Hi!

As an additional note, you don't need tunneling services like Hamachi or Tunngle in order for other people to connect to your server. You can simply port forward through your router to make that port accessible to the broader internet. I, personally, don't like to use tunneling services, since they have a tendency of messing with the network at an OS-level.

Hello :) I didn't know that you don't need Hamachi. The information i provided came from a YouTube tutorial video, and since i couldn't find a good guide, i decided to write my own. Maybe using Hamachi is easier than port forwarding, because in my experience, most people don't know how to port forward. Thank you for your answer and for creating this awesome game!! :steamhappy:

I mean, he's part of Coatsink, the people who make the online and VR for it, so he develops it, but creating it would be the wrong term
