What are the benefits of having friends who play KPMM?

I remember reading in game we get coins, but is there another benefit? Will people on my friendlist get my avatar on their game faster and all? Been a few days now and I haven't heard word from my avatar's adventures :/

Hi there!

Your Steam friends' avatars should be prioritised to appear in your black book, however you will need to have unlocked the 'type' which they chose for their avatar. For example, if they chose to be a 'sporty' type, you will need to unlock 'sporty' types before you will see them.

It also pays to have plenty of friends in your weekly leader boards as you will earn coins every week for the number of friends that you beat.

The avatar letters are a bit of an experimental feature and we are still perfecting the system. Trying to get everyone to receive letters on a regular basis is not as easy as it sounds with so many people playing the game, but so many more having created avatars but having finished playing.

Right now, avatars of people who have played in the last thirty days are prioritised when being chosen to appear in other people's games, though we may need to tweak that to be a shorter timespan.

We will definitely look into this next week.

Hi @auntierich - as always, thanks for making a wonderful adictive fun game
A little question - if (when) I change my avatar and clothes and - well, I love that - Does it effect my appearance in my friends game ?
I would love to try and be every personality, and dress up in all kinds of clothes - I am sure I am not alone ?
I understand the need for the types to be unlocked - but if they all are, maybe that will be ok?

That's an interesting question. Those changes shoudl be propogated to your friends' game yes, though potentially it may mess with the balance of the types in their black book, but only if you change the type. It won't make a huge difference to their game though if they have a few black book pages unlocked.
