The Verdict


If you can eventually come to grips with its incredible complexity -- and we're talking days, not hours, at the controls -- Galactic Command Echo Squad SE will begin to show its prowess. Yet even then, the game may seem more work than play. That's not a bad thing for those who really want to experience the hyper-intricate details of 3000AD's futuristic vision, but not all of us will make the necessary commitments. Jump on board only if you're seriously hardcore.

Somewhat ironically that was back when the 'scoring' of games was a tad more sane. In that a 5-6 were 'competent but average' 7-8 was 'wow this game is pretty awesome' and 9-10 were 'genre defining future game designers will tell you how this game made them want to work in the games industry'. And stuff below 5 was actually very bad.

Metacritic seems to have renormalized 'average' to basically 8.

Mind, this is in 2008 where the graphics of the era are supposed to look like that. If you were to ask IGN and the others to re-review the game it most likely wont be anywhere near this high. Yay! Cherry picking!

Years later people play games like X the series more, because they are not to complex amd make more fun. MFW X Beyond the Frontier has better graphics than this.

Okay, I'm guessing it is. Game only has 6 reviews and they're all bad. You can delete/hide comments but now real reviews.

Just read the review and they don't really like it, they basically give it a C

There is a huge difference between calling someone out and trolling. I'm not telling you how to moderate; it's just a statement that I made that coincidentally coincides with what is happening.

They think it's the same thing. It's censorship but reviews speak louder than deleted comments :)

Your opinion, not mine. The whole post was nothing but an attack. I'm not going to play semantics with you. Anyways, I think this thread has run it's course.
