My thoughts so far
It's a great game. There are mechanic and events that are really fun like librarian and upgrade bro. The combos are crazy and fun, maybe a bit too powerful but Dimensionals feels like a more casual game. It's a fun game to play. For more hardcore players there are other games they can try.

From design point I'd consider a few things. Perhaps active and passive skills could have different slots. For example 3 active 4 passive slots or maybe 3 and 3. I also would change the upgrade hero slot reward since it's almost mandatory to take tho the relics are really good too. I can see the thinking behind this and the choices are interesting and fun. The thing about skill slots is that there aren't too many of them and they're really core gameplay and not just a tactic or a strategy you pick.

One bug too: Against Ragnarath with the 3 blue heroes (grandpa, koa and the robot) I can't target anyone but grandpa and even targeting him is a bit weird. There also is a passive skill for Gramps that gives others armor if he gains armor. Does that work at all? I didn't notice others getting any armor at all.

A great game. One of the most fun games this year. The gameplay isn't as tight and clockworklike as in some other games but it's in early access and it's a lot of fun to play. Awesome thing about runs that you do have lots of choice what to do. Crits, refresh, rage and many others. That's absolutely fantastic. In my runs I tend to always gravitate towards crits because that's there with Koa when I start a run. I wish the other strategies were a bit more accessible too.

I second these. Last run my skills were glitched and only usable on my tank Magmama against last boss. Also Grandpa share shield skill is definitely bugged. I tried putting shield on him 4+ consecutive times on a turn and the ability didn't trigger. Only he had block.

In terms of slots I prefer that they aren't specific slots. Sometimes I don't use active abilities at all on some characters and that gives me more freedom for more builds. More slots would be fun, but they'd have to do some serious rebalancing if they went for that.

Having seperate or more skill-slots is a horrible idear in my opinion.
The fact that we have to choose what we want to take is the whole strategic part of building a character if you can take whatever you want there is no choice just waiting for the build-parts.
You already said that stuff is too powerfull what do you think will happen with 4 passive slots per character and 3 attacks ?
There are skills you don´t always want to slot in that is a strategic layer that comes into play once you know most enemys like the status-heal skill from boop or the armor ignoring skill from pyropaws and in those fights you may sacrifice some damage or damage scaling for the ability to counter the enemy.
With that many skill-slots you woudn´t even have to think about that just throw them in the build.
The game is really easy most of the time and maybe needs more difficulty options and balancing when it comes to certain skills but the amount of skills feels just right.
Restrictions bring creativity.

My only gripe with skill slots is that it's the only thing you want from the space guardian eagle or whatever that thing is
Why even let us choose if all the options but one are subpar

You can rebalance the game, that is a thing you can do. With the slots available right now I'm just filling them with certain offence and defence skills and have very little need to switch anything.

not with slot increasing cause this game is already not that difficult. Skill rebalancing is needed yes high cost skills are not good enough to use. They need to be more powerful or cheap.

1. You want the whole game to be rebalanced becourse of one idear you had that looses all its value with a rebalance becourse you can´t know that the problem that got you this idear before would still exist after said rebelance ?

2. I never said you need to swap stuff but against certain enemys some counter skills make it easier/faster.
The reason you dont need to swap in counters is that the game is too easy and while it shouldn´t get so hard that you really need to do that it should get so hard that the option is a big + .

The main-problem is that the game is to easy.
