Hey everyone!

We have just updated our Steam page with content that’s a bit closer to the overall vibe of the game, and we’re really excited to share this direction with you.

We are currently working on a new iteration of Placeground, and we are planning to deliver a test version in the coming weeks. We would love for you to stay close and be part of this process, your feedback will be incredibly valuable to us.

What you can expect:

Placeground at the Indie Arena Booth - Gamescom 2025

Hey everyone,

Just a little update from us 🙂

We’ll be showing the Placeground prototype at the Indie Arena Booth \[S32] at Gamescom 2025 this August in Cologne (20–24).

Our goal is to get maximum feedback before we continue the development.

Right now we’re mostly working on the building mechanics. You can already:

put together your own interiors and terraces
move walls around and play with layouts
decorate with a few objects (for now!)
tweak colors, resize objects, rotation
paint and add your own textures if you want
even switch rendering styles to change the whole vibe of your space
and (my favorite part) watch NPCs wander in and react to whatever you’ve built - still in early development

It’s still early days, but it’s slowly coming together. Thanks a lot for following. It really means a lot while we’re building this 💛

I’ll let you know soon what our next development plans are. There’s plenty more in the works besides the NPC interactions. I’ll keep you in the loop!
