“Haetae: Guardians” is a fantasy action game set in Joseon,
focused on precise evasion and cooperative combat with the divine beast, Haetae.

In this demo, we have updated the level design, progression system, and overall game balance.
You will be able to dodge at the right moment, stun evil yokai with Haetae’s power, and unleash relentless attacks.

There may still be areas that need improvement,
but your gameplay experience and feedback help us make the game better and more complete.

Based on feedback gathered from both offline exhibitions and online demo data, we’ve prepared a new demo update with a wide range of improvements across the game.

For players who have already experienced the demo, this update focuses less on major structural changes and more on enhancing overall polish and immersion.

• Previously, losing the Jangseung boss battle allowed the story to continue, which could feel unsatisfying.

• The boss can now be challenged repeatedly.

• Defeating Jangseung now rewards players with loot.

• The Dokkaebi battle could become overly difficult without prior knowledge, so we’ve improved its visual cues and clarity.

• We also adjusted the flow, as encountering the Dokkaebi immediately after the Jangseung fight felt disruptive to immersion.

• We closely reviewed the rat-related puzzle used to enter the village.

• Based on our experience with TurnTack, we concluded the issue was less about logic and more about missing hints and presentation.

• Puzzle direction and visual feedback were improved to enhance exploration and satisfaction upon solving.

• We expanded the narrative surrounding Geumgangho, the mountain spirit.

• Some players may have wondered why this character helps the protagonist.

• Due to time constraints before Burning Beaver, this arc was left unfinished, but it has now been fully implemented.

• Players can now follow the story through to the end and meet the mountain spirit directly.

• UI and UX quality-of-life improvements

• Animation adjustments

• Additional objects and environmental details

• Various minor fixes and polish
