Game keeps crashing

I love this game, I play this game whole my life. But since I bought it on steam the game keeps on crashing randomly. Sometimes while starting up the game and sometimes while playing along.

Anyone has the same problem? How to fix?

I've got a similar problem. The game works without problems after the installation. After a short time the play starting up and kept crashing in the start menu.

Today I told with some IT-Guy about a different topic and we digress to this game. He told me to disable/ change my vpn program (Cisco) in the "Computerverwaltung" (sorry, I don't know the word in english, maybe "computer management"?) to the Starting Type "manually". After this the vpn Client must be stopped and the computer has to reboot. And then every error message about the VPN program must be deleted in the event log.

Now the game works without problems. He told me that it has something to do with windows, virtual PC and VPN connections. Unfortunately I did not fully understand it. But it seems to work. Maybe that also helps you.

He also told me that this error persists even if you uninstall the VPN client. He said that often remains residues of programs in Windows even after uninstalling them.

I don't use VPN. But I did verify intergrity of game files. And he cleaned up 4 error files. After that it seems to work also. But an half hour later I got bored so I quit playing, and didn't start the game again since :')

Just to prevent this from happening again, install OpenRCT2. I had the game crash on me the first time I launched it as I was quitting. Had to quit Windows, which closes all programs (I was unable to access task manager cuz the crashed RCT2 was on top of everything).

I played 3h straight with OpenRCT2 installed and had absolutely no problems. It's mostly an improvement mod anyway. For instance, you can run the game in fullscreen at your native resolution and you can scale the UI in case it ends up looking too small.
