I feel like its a fun game just not DOW enough I'm not a fan of the extreme squish of my units dying in seconds or when they mob together finding that squad on deaths door aint it XD from what I do remember people just hated how it felt like a moba rts mashed together with the core game mode I'm most sad there were no new maps to play in skirmish the campaign itself was beautiful and watching a knight crush all your enemies is pretty fun ;3

Weakest in the series, but not a terrible game.

People overreacted because it has a MOBA-like structure and launched near the height of League of Legends popularity, so it was cool to hate anything that remotely resembled League of Legends.

yes this game compared to all other dow games is ♥♥♥♥ gameplay just sucks when u have played any other dow and all cool mechanics we had in the other dow games were removed and we got new mechanics who were just boring and bad wow great job ♥♥♥♥ yourself for destroying such a great game

It has missing content that both previous games had that are core to any Dawn of War game, Cover Mechanics and Finisher kills as well as battle worn unit and building models. It's in the Grimdark future there is only war. The lack of base building was both a con and a pro of Dawn of War 2, Dawn of War 2 was the tactic styled RTS and Dawn of War 1 was the full on RTS that did not yet have some of the tactical features of Dawn of War 2. Dawn of War 3 brings back base building with only the cons and none of the benefits of being able to position structures and be punished or rewarded for making your own defenses and layouts. Furthermore Dawn of War 3 simplifies the Tactics of Dawn of War 2 down to Dota mechanics. Dawn of War 3 is like Dota or LoL with more mechanics that make it more of a headache to deal with. The game can't decide if it wants to be a Dota or an RTS. This can't be called Dawn of War 3, it's a failed Dota clone that falls short of even being as good as Warcraft 3 was. Also news flash Not everyone wants to play only Dota games. Atleast Dawn of War 2 kept it's Hero styled mode confined to an environment that kept the gamemode intact and fun. Instead of having the game balance revolve around a specific way to play and nothing else. RTS games throw the dice with Real Time and then Add in Strategies that anyone can use, old RTS games have been so good because even if one strategy becomes overpowered another strategy can counter it making it a true battle of wits and knowing the game. Dawn of War 3 is only as good as Warcraft 1 with no mods sorry to say. Good stand alone not compared but fails against all the competition, it loses to Dawn of War 1 and 2 as well. ||| Summery: By trying to do everything Dawn of War 3 exceeded at nothing. It's not the worst game but it cannot be truly called a Dawn of War game on par of the likes of Dawn of War and Dawn of War 2.

I became a Warhammer 40k fan after playing DoW 1, spending hundreds of hours on it. I eagerly awaited the first add-on, Winter Assault, and got hooked on Dark Crusade and Soulstorm. I enjoyed DoW II much less, but now I’ve had a blast playing Space Marine 2, and have come back to DoW III, thoroughly enjoying it. It’s a shame that the toxic community ruined DoW III and killed the chance for the series to evolve and grow :(
