Stuck at "Please Wait" Screen

After starting whatever mission is after "Leviathans", I can't get into the game. As the title says stuck at please wait. I've validated files and restarted the computer. No dice. Is there a file with the saves so that I might clear my campaign and possibly get back in? I saw others had this problem but he last post was a few years ago and hoping maybe something was figured out in the time since. I've played way too much to get a refund and I actually really enjoyed the game. I seemed fated to regularly come back for the skirmish mode. Any help appreciated.

God im so pissed about this. I was really enjoying the game. I was able to delete my saves and everything on my computer related to it. Still stuck on the please wait screen. I've been robbed of $ and potential fun for years.

You could COPY saved games, before deletion, or you can also look for "Unerase" programs that will restore files in a specific folder.

If i'm in the position of having to start my campaign over I would consider myself blessed. Not that I would touch the campaign anymore after this. I just wanted to enjoy skirmish forever like Halo Wars but it seems that won't happen now.
