DoW 3 for $13USD... Is it worth it?

Bought it for 10 bucks during Autumn Sale - for special purpose, to make mods. Other than that - dead game is not worth even this.

In 2000 we bought games for play, but now these dudes crying about content. No content, free weekly DLC, no free maps, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, no kisses for good night - game sucks,right?
I bought DoW3 for full price and have played 200h+ for now. For me it's the best RTS since StarCraft 2 have been released.
If u want action RTS - choose any DoW game. DoW3 is just the latest, modern mix of DoW1 and 2.
Get this - DoW3 failed because of WH40K haters (who also had hated DoW2), not because of game quality.

I got it for $11 yesterday, and it is definitely not worth it.

The campaign is horrible, worst one yet. It's a tutorial where you can't even play as a race of your choice like you could in Dark Crusade and Soulstorm.

Graphics, animations,and sound effects are much worse than in DoW 2.

It just doesn't make any sense to play it over DoW2.

I already uninstalled it, and I just bought it yesterday.

I've so far played every Relic's game but this is a complete disaster, it's like from a completely different company. I don't care if they go bankrupt at this point.

FYI DoW3 made for multiplayer, not for single. Campaign the same borring as in original DoW1,2. Dark Crusade and Soulstorm are DLC, not original games. All that butthurt because fans want DoW3+7 races+all DLC from previous games in one bundle. Am i right, Konrad?

The single player isn't very good but the multiplayer is great.

People claim it's a bad game but their complaints either stem from not understand what they're doing or just outright falsehoods. There's a review claiming you can't build a base or units and that there's no upgrades, all of which are lies.

Thanks for the responses. I loved DoW1 and Dow2, also an avid 40k and recent AoS player.

I've been hesitant about this game for sometime after release. I think I'll pass for now.

Just save money, I heeded the warnings and I have 2 friends that have this game... Its really not worth it at all.

Can't say we, the community, didn't warm the developers about this, it was the natural outcome. All they had to do was DOW1 + Elements from DOW2 (cover and gear equip) and they would be golden. But nah, that was not creative enough and they had to try and eat the e-sports cake, which has too many (and big) competitors. Something original, away from the trend would be less risky because it would be unique.

Now that relic has officially abandoned the game, I say any value is further decreased. Just remove it from your wishlist and be happy.

As a final note, I do like to share that I like Relic and Dawn of War 1, they provided some trully epic stuff, while I think they slipped up on this title, if anyone can come back from this, its them. Wish them much success, more touch basis with the community, and eventually the game I want to play, DOW1 with current engine and all 9 factions.
